Review: Spa Sonic Skin Care System

I don't know where I've been but I finally got my hands on a skin care system.

There's several others on the market such as Clarisonic® and Olay® ProX but those can be a bit pricey unless you catch a sale. Fortunately, for this one that I purchased on Walgreens.com during Cyber Monday, it was on sale for $29.99 (retails for about $85). Then with my employee discount, brought it down to $25.49 so I decided to snag it. I ordered it on Monday and it arrived today (Thursday).

Now, I have sensitive skin so modifying my skincare routine can be a bit uneasy, but after many reviews and watching YouTube videos, I figure I can definitely try it out - what do I have to lose? I will do a trial run of 2 weeks and then provide an update on how my skin reacts.

Onto the specs of the Spa Sonic

Spa Sonic Skin Care System Face and Body Polisher is a waterproof device which is ideal for use in the shower, bath and sink and it "deep cleanses the entire face and body and tones the skin". It operates with 4 attachments (all included): A small brush for the face, a large brush for the body, pumice for rough areas, and a facial sponge for microdermabrasion and reduction of fine lines.
Comes in a variety of colors: white, pink, yellow, blue, purple and orange.

Four removable rotating brush heads:
Small facial brush: cleanses your face by getting deep into pores
Large body brush: cleanses entire body deeper than loofah & body sponges
Facial buffer: aids in moisturizer absorption & microdermabrasion to reduce fine lines and dark spots
Pumice stone: can smooth out rough areas such as elbows, knees and heels

Includes 7 pieces: 1 Body polishing unit , 2 Small facial brushes , 1 Large body brush, 1 Facial buffer, 1 Pumice stone and 1 Battery four pack (I placed the batteries inside already)

I'm definitely excited to test it out, beginning tonight. As mentioned, I will provide an update review about 2 weeks from now, on this post.

UPDATE

As promised, I'm returning a full two weeks later to provide the review.

PROS
I love the capabilities of the different brush heads such as the body and facial brush. It just does all the handy work for you, I found the best way to use it is just move your hand in a circular motion that way the brush head is rotating in a comfortable manner. It's easy to wash, just use a bit of soap in your hand and just move the brush head in back & forth motion in your palm for lather then rinse of with warm water. I rinse before use and wash after use. After I use it in the shower, I just put it face down on a towel so the excess water can drain out, in the meantime I'm usually doing my makeup and hair, and after then it's dry so I just put it back in its casing to preserve it for next use.

CONS
As expected, when introducing your skin to a new product, you may get a reaction. Mines was definitely a breakout, however very minimal and nothing that made me want to stop using it. It was just annoying, ol' sensitive skin, lol. After that bridge was crossed, it was okay. Other than that, I don't see any real issues with this product. I would recommend it to others. The only thing I would say is not to use it everyday, well at least I don't. I space it out for every other day, so I only use it on Monday - Wednesday - Friday.

Hope this review helps!
